Robbie Lawler is a Mixed Martial Artists, who is a UFC fighter. Robbie has been ranked at number nine for a UFC fighter. Robbie competes in the Welterweight division. He is a former EliteXC Middleweight Champion. Robbie has been training in karate at the early age of nine years old. While in high school he started wrestling where he received the All-State honors in wrestling, and he also received that in football too. Fisher House Foundation: The Fisher House Foundation is a charity organization that benefits the families of wounded warriors. UFC fighters helped raise over thirteen thousand dollars to the Fisher House Foundation in 2014. Robbie was one of the UFC fighters that joined in to help this organization. This year brought in an additional thirty-five percent over 2013. How do the UFC fighters contribute? For every minute, the fighter is in the octagon $2.50 is donated. Robbie earned the honor of raising the most money this year for Fisher House Foundation. He was in the octagon for four fights, which added up to eighty-eight minutes and six seconds.
The Fisher House Foundation helps builds homes, provides temporary housing for the families of military and veterans who are receiving medical care at Veteran’s hospitals. This allows family members to be there for their wounded warrior.
A Fighters Chance: A Fighters Chance is an MMA charity that provides MMA scholarships, disabled MMA veteran’s, disabled children, and Mixed Martial Arts training for underprivileged men and women. Robbie has been helping A Fighters Chance Organization by raising money and volunteering at events to raise money for the organization.
Robbie first priority is his family. Robbie is married to Marcia, who is 29 years old. The two have a son. The couple lives in Davenport, Iowa. What does Robbie Lawler like to do in his pastime? Robbie loves playing Xbox, and the game he loves to play is Madden. Robbie said, “I just want to enjoy myself, fight, compete, and hide and play video games afterward”. Everyone needs downtime to relieve stress and relax, and Robbie does that when he is playing Xbox 360 games.
Robbie still makes time to spend with his wife, son, and family and friends, but after a hard training regimen he heads to his Xbox to play video games. Robbie is very involved in his training, but he is dedicated to his family and helping out charities.
